Dr Koppany Visnyei (a.k.a. "Dr V") is a board certified Internist, and one of the nation’s leading experts in HIV/AIDS care. A native of Hungary, he graduated from Hannover Medical School in Germany, and worked at the University of Zurich Hospital in Switzerland and the University of Uppsala in Sweden, before coming to California. He got re-certified as an internist in the US at the Griffin/Yale program in Connecticut and at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He also has an academic background in neurosurgical sciences, neuroscience and molecular biology.

Dr V has been in private practice since 2013, focusing on primary care, infectious diseases, men's health and the gay, lesbian, and transgender community. Dr V is on the forefront of HIV, PrEP, Hepatitis C, other sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and other infectious diseases.

Dr V is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of HIV Medicine, the Gay & Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA), the Society for Neuroscience, the American Association of Cancer Research and of Collaborative Drug Discovery. Dr V has been distinguished with several honors and awards, including the Planetree Patient Centered Care Medallion, the Award of Excellence for outstanding Performance from the Alzheimer's Association, the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Foundation for Biomedicine Award and the Biomedical Sciences Exchange Program Scholarship Award. Dr Visnyei has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals including Science, Cancer Research, Stem Cells and Stroke. Dr V has given countless talks both to academic and non-academic audiences nationally and internationally.

Asia Sullivan PA-C MPH

Asia is a native of Alabama and completed both her Master's of Physician Assistant studies and Master's of Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and at the top of her class. Asia's treatment philosophy is a "whole-person" approach that recognizes the interplay of one's physical body, emotional wellbeing, environment, and psychosocial support systems. She is passionate about preventative medicine and considers herself to be a "judgement-free" provider with whom patients are free to be themselves. Asia's hobbies include blogging, style and fashion, yoga, and spending time with her two dogs.

She joined Dr V Medical in 2019 and is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Jake grew up in Dacula, GA. After receiving a BS in Psychology at the University of Georgia, he received a Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he worked for several non-profits serving the LGBTQ+ community. While working in HIV clinical research, he discovered a passion for patient care.

He attended the MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Training Program at the University of Washington, graduating in 2019. 

Prior to joining Dr V Medical, he worked in clinical orthopedics. His interests include music, fitness, and traveling.

HE joined Dr V Medical in 2021 and is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
